Shows When Sharing Screen
Elitely is designed to be undetectable during screen sharing. If it's appearing unexpectedly, check these points.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Ensure Elitely App is Up-to-Date
Make sure you are running the latest version of the Elitely desktop application. Updates often include improvements to undetectability features.
2. Check Screen Sharing Settings (Platform Specific)
Some meeting platforms have specific settings that might affect how overlay applications are captured. For example:
- Zoom: In Zoom's screen sharing settings under "Advanced", ensure "Show Zoom windows during screen share" is UNCHECKED. While Elitely isn't a Zoom window, this setting can sometimes influence capture methods. (Note: Elitely aims to work regardless of such settings, but it's a point to check).
- General Tip: Always choose to share your specific application window (e.g., your browser or presentation) instead of your entire screen/desktop if possible, although Elitely is designed to work with full screen sharing too.
3. Required Permissions
Confirm that Elitely has all the necessary operating system permissions (e.g., Screen Recording, Accessibility on Mac) required for its discreet operation. If permissions were denied or revoked, it might not function as expected.
4. Test Undetectability
Follow the steps outlined in the Getting Started guide to test if Elitely is visible on another device during screen sharing. This helps confirm if the issue is consistent.
